“Shortly before arriving in Toronto, Brendan, who was soon to model for me there, wrote that he now had a baby daughter. Freshly inspired from viewing Raphael’s Madonna and Child, I knew then I would paint him holding her.”
Ross Watson

Marking 10 Years since Watson completed Untitled #02/16 (after Raphael, 1600; Brendan and Zoe) which has provided endless enjoyment since then for the artist’s New York Patrons and friends who visit their beautiful Long Island weekender.   A popular artwork from the artist’s Myth&Reality series, which explores important themes including sexuality, identity and religion, and references the master works of celebrated European artists Raphael, Caravaggio, Vouet and Vermeer.
