Shot on the Gold Coast, the 2027 range comes in five editions. Since 1993, sales of the calendar have funded donations of over $3,500,000.00 to animals and people in need, and the firefighters now have more than 2.6 million followers across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

A tradition of giving back
Since 1993, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has used its striking images of frontline firefighters to raise funds and awareness for causes that matter, from Australian wildlife and community charities to disaster recovery and first-responder wellbeing.
That support now reaches well beyond Australia: hurricane relief in the US in 2024, the Los Angeles wildfires and Kerr County, Texas floods in 2025, and most recently a US$2,000 donation to Pasadena Humane to care for animals in its shelter until they are rehomed.
Home-grown impact
CAVFA — backing volunteer firefighters
The calendar provides direct support for volunteer firefighters and their families through CAVFA, funding mental-health resources, welfare programs, training and essential equipment for rural and regional brigades across Australia. Brigades in every state benefited from a $25,000 donation to the Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland (RFBAQ), distributed through CAVFA. Funds were also placed into Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria’s Volunteer Support and Recovery Trust, which provided financial assistance to 23 volunteer firefighters who lost their homes in Victoria’s bushfires.
Wildcare Inc — Darwin and Katherine, NT
Wildcare Inc is a non-profit wildlife care and rescue organisation supporting carers of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in Darwin and Katherine. Its aim is to rehabilitate and release animals back into their natural habitat and to raise community awareness of the care and conservation of native animals.
Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital — Matilda, the mobile wildlife hospital
The calendar supports Wildlife Recovery Australia’s Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, home of Matilda — the world’s first mobile wildlife hospital. Built in 2020 after the Black Summer bushfires, the 22-wheel, fully licensed veterinary hospital on wheels carries anaesthesia, X-ray, diagnostics, a sterile surgery room and critical-care cages, powered by solar panels and satellite connectivity.

In April 2026, Matilda was diverted mid-way across the Nullarbor to Exmouth, WA, to treat dolphins, sea turtle hatchlings, seabirds and reptiles stricken by ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle, and in May it deployed to Sydney to treat sick and injured wildlife alongside local rescue groups.
Petbarn Foundation Rescue Mission 2026
The firefighters lent their profile to Petbarn Foundation’s Rescue Mission 2026, helping drive record results: 1,955 dogs rescued and 615 cats rehomed. Firefighter-led content was among the campaign’s top-performing social posts across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and the campaign generated 281 pieces of media coverage with an estimated reach of 38.2 million.
Best Friends Felines
Every cat and kitten in the calendar’s Rescue Cats Edition is a rescue, and Best Friends Felines is one of the fostering organisations behind those stories. The calendar supports the group every year through donations and stock used for fundraising.
