As we have proudly done since 2004, Q Magazine is here to support our fellow LGBTIQA+ community members and those who support us. Come in! Make yourself comfortable!

from little things big things grow
… and grow and grow and grow

Q Magazine was launched in March 2004 as Melbourne’s most stylish, smart, sexy and fun publication. This successful formula has delivered readership growth and loyalty, unmatched by any other gay publication in today’s market. The LGBTIQA+ niche market publishing industry went from rather significant to struggling in only a matter of a few years. Q Magazine is one of only a handful that survived.
Q MAGAZINE MEDIA was born out of an effort to combine a group of websites that I started to procure and design, in addition to Q Magazine. The group of sites includes various versions of the Q Magazine URL along with a similar round-up of Hayhoe sites and sort of my favourite – BrettHayhoe.me As it transpired, but not without months of procrastination, WordPress came along. Little did I know how monumentally my life would change – and for the better in every way.
This site, and the various other ‘blogs’ I now run, have given me a new lease on life. They have reinvigorated my drive to find a permanent place for Q Magazine in the digital world. I have a lot of faith in the publication. I believe it’s truly a quality product holding steadfast to one of the initial guiding principles – made by and for LGBTIQA+ communities worldwide. Every community member and the allies who support us should be proud of Q Magazine.
I’m also very proud and happy to get back into writing – Author Brett Hayhoe Happy exploring. You’re safe here!

distribution
Q Magazine has always maintained both a physical and electronic presence. In 2016, due to increased printing costs, I decided to utilise the digital world to distribute Q Magazine. Realising what a gamble that was, I knew I had to distribute it as broadly as possible. Fortunately, both MAGZTER and PRESSREADER came onboard, resulting in Q Magazine accessible in over two million places worldwide.
Social media is vitally important to all online publications. Q Magazine is no different. Our social media reach is impressive, in numbers, diversity and engagement. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram plus Tumblr – to name only a small portion. It is vitally important, particularly given the nature of WordPress (designed to be a writer’s paradise – each site a blog of its own) for the subscriptions of Q Magazine to increase exponentially in order to make it all happen as it should. Subscribing is FREE!

By encouraging open dialogue around gender identity, representation in media, and the adoption of gender-neutral policies, this book emphasizes the importance of respect in shaping a culture of inclusivity. Ultimately, it advocates for creating safe spaces where all individuals can thrive, feel valued, and express their true selves.
Regardless of your thoughts on political correctness, treating others with respect is not rocket science. It’s not that difficult – simply ‘don’t be a dick’
