“This book celebrates what food can be – joyful, uncomplicated and deeply grounding. The recipes reflect the messy, beautiful, imperfect reality of parenthood and modern life. Since becoming a parent, I’ve come to realise that food is so much more than just fuel; it’s about connection, comfort and creating everyday moments”. Keira Rumble

The Family Table is about making real food work for real life – without the stress, overwhelm or hours in the kitchen. In her debut cookbook, entrepreneur and former food stylist Keira Rumble shares over 70 flavour-forward, fuss-free recipes built for busy households: weeknight dinners, quick breakfasts, lunchbox-friendly snacks and family bakes that feel achievable (and properly delicious). The food is fresh, balanced and nourishing by nature – but the promise here is practicality and pleasure first, with recipes that genuinely earn their place in the weekly rotation.

As Keira says – “These aren’t complicated, restaurant-style dishes. They are real, wholesome meals designed for busy lives. Meals that can be prepped quickly, made in one pan, or left to slow cook while you tackle everything else on your to-do list. Meals that are packed with nutrition, flavour and clean ingredients, without unnecessary additives. Meals that bring joy back to dinnertime and take the stress out of meal planning”.

Shaped by Keira’s own experience of feeding a family while running three businesses and raising two young children, The Family Table is food with heart – and a sharp sense of what actually helps at 5pm. Think smart staples, flexible swaps, minimal-fuss methods and plenty of crowd-pleasers, written in Keira’s calm, encouraging voice. It’s a book about getting everyone fed and eating well without making it a “thing” – creating small moments of connection around the table, whether that’s a properly planned dinner or eggs on toast.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Q MAGAZINE-The Family Table-Tft

Keira Rumble is on a mission to revolutionise the health food, wellbeing, and beauty industries. She is the founder of Habitual Beauty (stocked in Sephora), Krumbled Foods (stocked in Coles nationwide) and Mini + Me.

All her products are stocked in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Keira’s journey to become an entrepreneur began with a pre-diabetic diagnosis in her early twenties. Inspired to change the way she lives, Keira started to look at ‘protein snacks’ and ‘healthy foods’ only to realise that these supposedly healthy alternatives were actually formulated with an unusually high sugar content and therefore provided very little real health benefits.

Disappointed by this lack of transparency, Keira decided to do something about it and so, Krumbled Foods was born, which was first to market with collagen bars in 2017.

Amongst the beautiful family life chaos, we see it’s about the importance of good food on the table every day.
