GiveOUT Day is Australia’s annual day of giving to LGBTQIA+ non-profit organisations and initiatives — and it’s happening TODAY!
Run by Rainbow Giving Australia, this year more than 120 grassroots organisations are taking part, with an ambitious goal of raising $550,000 to strengthen LGBTQIA+ communities across the country. People everywhere are invited to donate to, champion and celebrate LGBTQIA+ non-profits working to build inclusion, wellbeing and equity.
The “Love Edition” campaign puts joy at the centre, calling on us all to give much-needed love in the form of a donation. It’s also about raising awareness, coming together in solidarity, and showing the power of collective giving to support grassroots organisations.
Despite their critical role, LGBTQIA+ non-profits remain significantly underfunded, receiving less than five cents in every $100 donated in Australia. GiveOUT Day shines a spotlight on community-led initiatives that are doing tremendous work but urgently need more resources.
