The fine folk at MIDSUMMA Festival are rallying support to bring the Midsumma Young Futures Program back for 2027 and beyond!

Midsumma FUTURES creates opportunities for the next generation of artists to get their big break, build their networks and take their creative practice to the next level through a nine-month development and mentoring program for early-career LGBTQIA+ artists and culture-makers.

The program gives a new cohort of emerging LGBTQIA+ artists the chance to learn, grow, connect and build a future in the arts, with participation completely free for the artists involved.

The goal is to raise $30,000 through GiveOUT Day to help make this happen. It’s about investing in queer creativity, nurturing new voices and making sure the next generation has room to experiment, take risks and create work that changes the way we see the world.

GiveOUT Day is Thursday 15 October 2026. An early donation can be matched dollar for dollar
