VERATIE (pronounced veh-ruh-tee) are an alt-rock / nu-metal band, based in Southeast Queensland. Formed in 2021 by lead singer-songwriter Sarah and guitarist-beatmaker Connor, and since joined by Pat on drums, VERATIE overlays evocative melodic and rap vocals over an intricate soundscape of synth, heavy guitars and relentless rhythm. They have already supported names such as The Halo Effect (Europe), Beyond the Black (Europe), Redhook, Devilskin (New Zealand), Lagerstein, Krave and more.

VERATIE are set to release their latest single “Exit” on the 12th of March 2026 (tomorrow) across all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Apple iTunes, YouTube Music, Amazon Music & Tidal. https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/veratie/exit

Exit is a true anthem for this age.  A rally call for those ready to question the systems that control us.

Beatmaker / Rapper – Connor describes Exit as a heavy, modern nu-metal track with a distinctly dystopian feel. Lyrically, Exit draws from the feeling of being crushed in the gears of today’s society and the rising pressure to break free. It tracks a personal revolution from numbed obedience to awareness and autonomy.

Sonically, the track builds momentum through hard-hitting rap verses and soaring melodic hooks before collapsing into a chaotic distorted bridge—mirroring the moment internal pressure finally explodes.  It is the sound of conformity cracking.

Potent, inescapable and carrying all the power of an awakening generation, Exit will make you question everything.
